Anil qualified in 2001 from the University of Manchester and has over 20 years’ experience in general dental practice. He has developed his knowledge and expertise by attending postgraduate courses in the UK and the US.

Anil is a certified provider for Six Months Smiles, Invisalign, CFast Ortho, QST and IAS systems. He has a diploma in Endodontics from The Royal London Hospital and is qualified to provide root canal treatments.

He has also completed an MSc at UCLan for dental implants and was awarded a merit. He uses the Straumann implant system to place implants.

He provides a range of dental treatment, from pain-relieving treatment to enhancing and improving patient smiles with teeth straightening, teeth whitening and composite bonding. He is currently undergoing training in facial aesthetics.

Carolyn was raised in Tyneside and went to Newcastle University where she graduated from in 1989. She lived and practised in Australia from 1992 and has been practising dentistry in Canary Wharf since returning to the UK in January 2004.

Carolyn was a dental phobic herself as a child so she makes great effort to ensure everyone enjoys their visits as much as possible. She treats nervous patients of all ages with kindness, respect and understanding.

Her has a keen interest in minimally invasive dentistry, which means achieving aesthetic and functional results for patients whilst preserving as much healthy tooth structure as possible.

Estela graduated from University of Barcelona in 2010 where she gained experience with different areas of dentistry, including oral surgery, periodontics and prosthodontics.

Estela has more than 10 years’ experience in dentistry, including working in general dental practice on the South West Coast and Central London. During her year training at Harley Street, Estela developed an interest in periodontology and implant dentistry. She entered the European Federation of Periodontology accredited and completed a full time three-year master’s in Clinical Dentistry in Periodontology in the world-renowned Eastman Dental Hospital, University College London.

Estela provides several periodontal (gum) treatments such as non-surgical therapy, respective and regenerative surgery and aesthetic and functional crown lengthening. Estela enjoys performing minimally invasive surgery and mucogingival surgeries to cover gum recession defects.

She treats gum and peri-implant diseases with a kind and friendly manner towards her patients.

Sunny is currently pursuing his master's degree in Clinical Dentistry, within the specialism of prosthodontics, at King's College London. As a passionate dentist, he’s focused on restoring his patients’ confidence to smile and eat comfortably.

Sunny has completed several postgraduate courses including Chris Orr's aesthetic and restorative dentistry course. He’s also trained to provide adult orthodontics systems such as IAS Inman and Invisalign aligners.

By using 3D digital technology, Sunny can allow patients to preview cosmetic treatments such as orthodontics, composite bonding and veneers.

Heren qualified from Barts and the Royal London Hospital in 2012 and passed his Royal College of Surgeons exams in 2014. He then completed a cosmetic dentistry accreditation, enabling him to provide quality composite bonding and veneers. He has also completed a diploma in implantology with Newcastle University, equipping him to restore patients’ smiles.

Ashley qualified as a general dentist from King’s Dental Institute in 1992 and went on to run a successful private practice from 1996 to 2015. He now focuses on implant treatment.

He has been placing implants since 1994 and holds a diploma in Dental Implants from the Royal College of Surgeons in Edinburgh. He also has a master’s degree in Implantology from the Institute of Clinical Excellence at Salford University. His research is based on his clinical practice placing implants using modern technology, digital planning and manufacturing techniques.

Ashley is a mentor for implant surgeons wishing to improve their skills and holds a study club for the International Team for Implantology (ITI), striving to improve understanding and clinical outcomes.

He has been privileged enough to work with mentors in New York, Dusseldorf and Brisbane, and regularly travels internationally to keep up to date. He has a wide knowledge of dentistry which allows him to offer a holistic approach to every patient he consults.

He has previously trained UK undergraduate students on a field trip to Ghana and participated in a voluntary trip providing dental aid to Syrian refugees in Greece. Ashley also sits on several focus groups discussing the future of implant provision, mentoring programs and the use of dental technology and software.

Every two years, Ashley cycles 500 miles for charities associated with oral health and has raised over £200,000 with the help of his colleagues.

Harpreet graduated from The Royal London Hospital in 2008 and went on to work within the private dental sector. She has undertaken numerous postgraduate courses, enabling her to create and restore beautiful smiles for her patients.

Harpreet is passionate about her profession and is continually upgrading her skill set to ensure her patients receive up to date techniques and treatments. She works to ensure her patients have comfortable dental visits, catered to their individual needs.

Mervyn is an orthodontist at our practice. His career has spanned over 20 years in Asia and Europe. He has a wide range of clinical experience in both adult and child orthodontics and has treated numerous patients in the Canary Wharf area since 2007.

Mervyn keeps up to date with the latest orthodontic technology including digital orthodontics, temporary anchorage devices, self-ligating braces and all forms of virtually-invisible braces. His qualifications include:

• Bachelor of Dental Surgery degree from the National University of Singapore (1999)
• Master of Science in Orthodontics from the renowned Eastman Dental Institute of University College London (2003)
• Membership in Orthodontics from the Royal College of Surgeons of Edinburgh (2005)
• PhD in Medical Sciences (Orthodontics) from the University of Groningen, The Netherlands (2007)

Mervyn has been awarded ‘Platinum’ Invisalign practitioner status because of the large number of cases he has treated successfully. He is also a certified orthodontist for WIN and Incognito lingual braces.

He has also been recognised by the award of the prestigious WJB Houston Scholarship by the European Orthodontic Society (during the years 2004-2007) and the Ubbo Emmius Scholarship by the University of Groningen, for his doctoral research.

He is an active member of the European Orthodontic Society and has presented scientific papers at their annual conferences. He is also a member of the British Orthodontic Society, British Lingual Orthodontic Society, British Dental Association and the American Association of Orthodontists, and a Fellow of the World Federation of Orthodontists. Besides his busy clinical career, he maintains a keen interest in orthodontic research and publishes and reviews articles in several international journals in the field of orthodontics and biomaterials.

Mervyn is very friendly and approachable and enjoys working with his patients to improve their smile and appearance through orthodontics.

Mervyn speaks English, Mandarin, Cantonese, Malay and some Dutch.

Mitesh has over a decade of experience in general dentistry, with an interest in cosmetic treatments.

Mitesh graduated from Turner Dental School, University of Manchester with an interest in cosmetic dentistry. He has over 10 years’ experience and has worked in practices across the UK. He has been featured in the television series, Extreme Makeover UK.

Myrum was born and raised in Cape Town, South Africa, where he served in the African Army and studied dentistry at the University of Stellenbosch.

Myrum emigrated to the UK back in 1980 and registered with the General Dental Council. Over the years, he has been both a practice owner and an associate, where he has worked hard to provide quality care for his patients.

His focus for his patients has always been about maintaining great oral health and preventative dental care. He has developed his skills to provide both cosmetic and restorative treatments and has worked closely with oral surgeons to restore lost teeth using dental implants.

He also offers snoring treatment using a mandibular advancement splint. Myrum has developed a keen interest in invisible braces and has treated many patients with Invisalign aligners.

Naazi qualified from the United Medical and Dental Schools of Guy's and St Thomas' Hospitals with a Bachelor of Dental Surgery in 1995.

Naazi practices preventative and minimally invasive dentistry and enjoys treating a variety of patients. She has a particular interest in cosmetic dentistry and providing smile makeovers and is also qualified in prosthetic implantology, meaning she can restore dental implants.

She continually strives to further her education to stay up to date with the latest evidence-based practices.

Rafa graduated in 2001 from one of the top Spanish dental schools, based in Madrid. Since then, he has gained experience working in Spain and in the UK since he moved here in 2005.

Rafa has experience in cosmetic dentistry including veneers, crowns, teeth whitening and using orthodontic aligners to straighten teeth. He has also been placing implants for over 10 years and he holds a three-year Master of Science in Implantology and a postgraduate certificate in Cosmetic Dentistry and Aesthetic Restorative Dentistry. He has a gentle approach to every treatment and prides himself on his work with nervous patients.

Charlene is a dental hygienist at the practice and has worked in the dental profession since 2003, starting out as a dental nurse and mentor to student dental nurses.

Charlene qualified as a dental hygienist from the Eastman Dental Hospital in 2017. She believes dental hygiene contributes towards overall health. Charlene aims to tailor treatment specific to her patients’ needs and likes her patients to feel comfortable and reassured when receiving treatment.

She keeps up to date with the latest developments via regular CPD (continuing professional development and other courses.

Jihana began her career as a dental nurse, before qualifying as a dental hygienist and therapist with first class honours in 2016. She has always had a passion to help patients achieve good oral health and aims to take a gentle approach, to ensure her patients are comfortable throughout their treatment.

Sam gained a dual honours degree in Dental Hygiene and Dental Therapy from the Dental Academy in Portsmouth. Since starting his career in 2011, he has worked at several high-end dental practices across London and Essex.

Matthew graduated from Queen Mary University, Royal London Dental Hospital. He is a dual qualified dental hygienist and dental therapist. Matthew's clinical experience includes private and NHS practice, as well as community dental services.

Our customer experience manager, Betty graduated from the Faculty of Dentistry and Oral Surgery of Belarusian State Medical University in 2009, and she has over 12 years of dental customer service experience.

The role allows Betty to constantly tap into her strengths of empathy, intuition, diplomacy, CRM and problem solving. Most importantly, this role is perfectly suited to her since she loves caring for patients and solving any challenging situations.

Christian has been working in the dental industry for many years. He has previously held various operational roles such as practice manager, area manager and operations manager.

Christian took a five-year career break in 2015 where he held a senior position with a British airline, serving their customers in premium cabins across their long-haul and global network. Christian returned to his love of dentistry and joined the leadership team at our practice in May 2020.

Before joining Bupa Dental care, Daryl worked for a major worldwide airline as a customer service manager for a large UK travel company. She primarily manages the front of house operation, leads on patient liaisons and manages the administration team.

Daryl has many years of experience working within the customer service industry and recognises the importance of treating each of our patients as an individual, while ensuring a great level of patient service is delivered.

Pavlina qualified as a dental nurse with postgraduation in dental radiography before entering practice management.
