Bupa recognition can help you build and promote your practice. It enables you to:
- raise the profile of your practice through your personal page on Finder, our online directory of Bupa recognised healthcare professionals and healthcare services, which is used by our customers, GPs and the public, and receives 70,000 visits a week
- receive agreed fees for the care and treatment that you provide to our customers
- access to our Providers Online website to make running your private practice simple and straightforward.
Joining criteria
By joining the Bupa free texas hold em poker games Dental Insurance Network you agree to:
- make sure at least one dentist and all hygienists (if applicable) at your practice offer Bupa dental insurance patients a 10 or 20 per cent discount on your standard prices for all general dental treatment. You can find a list of procedures which are included in the 10% or 20% discount in schedule 2 of the
- complete direct settlement of Bupa customers’ claims if we ask you to do so.
- take part in audits from time to time if we ask.
You may also agree to opt in to become a “full refund” practice. This means that Bupa patients with certain dental insurance policies will be guaranteed they won’t have to pay any shortfalls on their preventative dental treatment (provide it’s covered by their policy). We recognise the practice as a whole, rather than the individual dentists and hygienists (if applicable).
To make sure that our customers receive treatment in line with standards set by the General Dental Council (GDC) and other relevant regulatory bodies, all practices need to:
- be registered with the General Dental Council
- evidence that they have adequate and appropriate indemnity insurance to cover any treatments that the relevant clinician provides
- have access to training and evidence of up-to-date Continual Professional Development in line with the GDC’s standards for Continuing Professional Development
- follow the GDC published ‘Standards for the Dental Team’
- follow the policy of preventative dentistry and work according to published guidance from the GDC
- confirm that clinicians planning to treat Bupa customers have completed within the last three years an:
- enhanced Disclosure and Barring Service (DBS) certificate (UK, Wales and Channel Islands) and the appropriate child or adult barring list check relevant to the patients to be treated; or
- an AccessNI enhanced certificate or an AccessNI basic if self employed (Northern Ireland), or a Disclosure Scotland enhanced disclosure.
- provide patients with a written treatment plan with a breakdown of costs before treatment commences; and
- have a documented process for the investigation of adverse incidents and/or complaints of a serious clinical nature.

We’ve indicated in the application form which information may be shared with Bupa customers on a Bupa website and through other media. You have the opportunity to give your permission for this as you complete the application form.
Apply online
We’ll send you an on screen message to confirm we’ve received your completed application. Once we’ve received your application and supporting documents, we’ll process them. We aim get back to you within 2 working days, but in busy periods it may take longer.
Your recognition begins on the day you’re added to Bupa’s list of network practices. We’ll send you an email to let whether your application has been accepted.
